Saving Your Natural Tooth
When decay or infection reaches the nerve inside a tooth, root canal treatment removes the infected tissue and seals the tooth so it can stay in place. Keeping your own tooth is almost always better than replacing it.

No surprises. Here is what happens from the moment you get in touch.
Diagnosis & X-ray
A digital X-ray shows how far the infection has reached and how the roots are shaped.
Numbing the Tooth
Local anaesthetic is given so the procedure itself is not painful.
Cleaning the Canals
The infected tissue is removed, the canals cleaned, shaped and sealed.

Root Canal Treatment FAQs
If your question is not here, call us on +91 98402 03173 and we will answer it.
Is a root canal painful?
The procedure is done under local anaesthetic, so you should not feel pain during it. Most people find the toothache that brought them in was worse than the treatment. Some tenderness for a few days afterwards is normal.
How many visits does it take?
It depends on the tooth and how much infection is present — some are completed in one visit, others need two or more. We will tell you what to expect after the X-ray.
Why not just remove the tooth instead?
Keeping your natural tooth preserves the bone around it and keeps neighbouring teeth from drifting. Replacing an extracted tooth later with an implant or bridge is usually a bigger undertaking.
Do I really need a crown afterwards?
Usually yes, particularly on back teeth. A root-treated tooth has lost its blood supply and becomes brittle, so a crown protects it from cracking under chewing.
Can baby teeth have root canal treatment?
Children have a related procedure — pulpotomy or pulpectomy — for badly decayed baby teeth. It keeps the tooth in place until the permanent one is ready to come through.
How long does a root-treated tooth last?
Many last for years when properly restored and cared for. It depends on how much natural tooth remains, whether a crown was fitted, and your oral hygiene.
